Highway 99 Information
Highway 99, the “Sea to Sky Highway”, underwent a $600 million upgrade to increase the road’s safety, reliability and capacity in anticipation of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The Highway subsequently is now a much safer and enjoyable drive with several breathtaking points of interest and photo opportunities.
Directions to Whistler and our Lodge
Directions from Vancouver International Airport
- Drive east out of the airport on Grant McConachie Way
- Follow the Hwy 99 North signs over the Arthur Lang Bridge onto Granville Street
- Follow Granville Street north crossing the Granville Street Bridge
- Shift to the far right lane of the bridge and take the Seymour Street exit
- Follow Seymour Street north until Georgia Street
- Turn left onto Georgia Street
- Georgia Street takes you through our lovely downtown core heading west, through Stanley Park (so pretty!) and over the majestic Lions Gate bridge
- Exit the bridge on the Marine Drive West turnoff
- Shift to the far right lane once on Marine Drive
- Take the first right onto Taylor Way
- Travel up the hill and turn left onto Highway 1
- Follow the signs to Whistler Hwy 99
- Once you reach the village, turn right onto Village Gate Boulevard
- Take the first left on Northlands Boulevard
- Take the second entrance right into Main Street (horseshoe shape road that curves around)
- The Summit Lodge and Spa is the second hotel along on the right hand side
