Snowshoeing is one of our favourite things to do in Whistler in winter. Snowshoes are smaller and lighter than skis or a splitboard, letting you easily navigate through tight trees and travel up and down slopes with ease. It’s just like hiking! So whether the snow is ankle or knee-high, you just pick a safe route, pop the snowshoes on over your hiking boots and off you go.
Snowshoeing Whistler valley is also a great pet-friendly activity. All of the trails in the valley are dog-friendly and our awesome Front Desk staff can recommend some great trails within walking distance of the hotel.
Free Snowshoe Rental For Guests
Snowshoeing in Whistler is so much fun we wanted to give all of our guests the opportunity to try it. You can borrow snowshoes from the Front Desk on a first-come-first-served basis and we even have a few mini pairs for kids!
You can rent the snowshoes for as little or as long as you like. If you’re feeling adventurous you could even snowshoe to one of the many backcountry huts around Whistler for a magical night in the Whistler backcountry (recommended for experienced ski tourers with avalanche skills training).
