Creekbread Restaurant: Creekside, Whistler

This pizza is so clean that you should order an extra one for breakfast. At Creekbread restaurant, the food is sacred, which is why they only use local, organic ingredients, nitrate free meats and only use fire to cook – talk about being true food purists! The folks who work here are more like magicians than cooks, artisan chefs craft homemade dough into thin crust masterpieces right from their wood-fired clay oven. This local run establishment is located a short 5 minute drive from the main Whistler Village. Talk about a win-win. $$

Why we love it: Organic and local ingredients, clean eating and cozy atmosphere

Our Pick: Try some of Creekbread’s specialty flatbreads, like the Pemberton Potato Pie or create your own from a Jay’s Heat base.  These16 inch flatbreads are perfect for sharing.

The Mexican Corner: Sundial Crescent, Whistler Village

This has probably the best and most legit Mexican food that I have enjoyed north of the border. The Mexican Corner have been presenting Whistler with vibrant dishes that taste like a fiesta of flavours with every bite since 2012. Fresh ingredients are married with recipes that honour street flavours and traditions of Mexico. Our personal favourites include their Rock Fish Ceviche Sinaloa, Guacamole for starters, Mexican Street Food style tacos and their to-die-for Enchiladas Verdes. Located at the foot of the Whistler Village Gondolas, it makes the perfect stop for an early dinner after a day’s activities, or for a sit down meal after a stroll through town. Don’t forget to try one of their signature margaritas, or two. De nada! $$$

Why we love it: Authentic Mexican cuisine, casual and fun atmosphere, great margaritas

Kid friendly pick: Chicken Tacos/Cheese Quesadilla

Adult pick: Order an entree or two, like the Chile Relleno and Enchiladas and a side of tacos to share.

Stonesedge: Village Stroll, Whistler

Wholesome, nutritious comfort food that is a delight for the eyes and even better in your belly. Stonesedge’s unique take on traditional comfort dishes and beverages are so beautiful that it inspired us to artfully recreate their plating at home. Here you can close your eyes and pretend that Dad has just brought back some game from hunting and that Mum has been cooking up a storm with dishes like Carrot and Wild Mushroom Ragout or their surprise Market Cut Feature.  Kids can eat some familiar food whilst you relax after a long day of activities. Situated in the heart of Whistler village, Stonesedge’s atmosphere is lively and comfortable, with a heated patio so you can enjoy the Whistler summer sun.  $$

Another of our comfort food favourites, 21 Steps is an iconic restaurant to Whistler with a culinary team who has amassed over 20 years of local experience in their establishment. We love this restaurant for its homely meals that are plated with a sprinkle of razzmatazz, with enough options for any fussy eaters to enjoy. Located right in the heart of Whistler Village, 21 Steps is a short walk from everywhere, but booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. $$$

Pizzeria Antico, Main Street, Whistler

For all those true pizza connoisseurs, this joint will blow you away with their authentic Neapolitan style pizzas that will transport your taste buds to Naples. Wood fired forno ovens, BC craft beers and beautiful rustic decor combine for an experience so photogenic that you have to Instagram it. Let’s also not forget to mention their Quattro Formaggi that will send you into a blissful cheese coma. Tucked away in a quieter part of the village, this hidden gem is a haven away from the busier hustle and bustle of the Village Stroll. $

Why we love it: We get to taste what pizza tasted like for the people of Naples in the 1800’s.

Kid Friendly pick: Customize your pizza to perfection with some familiar toppings like cheese, peppers, salami and pepperoni.
