2) Meadow Park Sports Centre & Water Park 

Located North of the village, just before Alpine Meadows, Meadow Park is Whistler’s primary recreation centre. Meadow Park has an ice rink, a pool with hot tub, sauna and steam room, as well as exercise and sporting facilities. There are many classes and programs running throughout the year. The adjacent park offers a scenic view of the mountains alongside a baseball diamond, picnic benches, jungle gym, splash pad, and the River of Golden Dreams.

3) Airhouse – Indoor Trampoline Park (Squamish)

Whistler’s indoor trampoline park unfortunately closed in 2018 but we won’t hesitate to recommend Airhouse, the indoor trampoline park in Squamish. This acrobatic activity is one way to ensure the kiddies burn some energy, especially great after a long drive! Be sure to call ahead (604.390.3390) as the park does rent out the entire facility for birthday parties and private functions.

4) Olympic Plaza Playground 

“A legacy of the  2010 Winter Games, Whistler Olympic Plaza is a state-of-the-art outdoor performance facility and community space with a park and playground set against one of Whistler’s most dramatic backdrops.”

5) The Adventure Group Whistler

The Adventure Group (TAG) Whistler offers a plethora of exhilarating activities for the entire family, including immersive (and adrenaline-inducing) nature tours for every season, treetop adventures and ziplining, and a forested lightshow experience.

6) Whistler Library

The Whistler Library provides a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and frequent kid-friendly events related to reading, arts, and learning. Check out the Events page on their website to see which events they are currently running.

7) Village Festivals & Entertainment

The Whistler Children’s Festival happens every July in the Olympic Plaza. This year the festival runs from July 6-8th. Another great ongoing event is the Whistler Farmer’s Market – located in the upper village, the market opens every Sunday during the summer months. Find fresh popcorn, maple syrup treats and homemade crafts and jewelry. Every major event in the village is associated with family friendly entertainment.

8) Beaches & Lakes

Whistler is home to several amazing lakes and beaches. Kick back and take in some sun while the kids splash and build sand castles. Take in breathtaking views from Whistler’s scenic lakeside parks – many have a playground and other kid friendly amenities.

9) Whistler Theatre

Always a good night out – Whistler’s only movie theatre, Village 8 Cinema is sure to please if your in the mood for the latest blockbuster. If culture is what you’re after, then check out Maury Young Arts Centre for Canada’s best musicians, comedians and children’s performers.

10) Alpine Hiking & Sightseeing

If there’s one thing you want to do while in Whistler during the summer months, it’s go up the mountain. You haven’t truly experienced Whistler until you’ve seen it from up high.
