In an earlier post we described the bobsleigh as “the best roller coaster ride of your life”. And we weren’t over exaggerating – it’s incredible fun. However nothing beats six corners of up to 100 km/hr with your chin just inches from the ice!
Why we love skeleton, and think you will too
There is nothing that can prepare you for the assault on your senses as you slide head first, down the worlds fastest track on what was described by the British Winter Olympics commentary team as “nothing bigger than a tea tray” – it takes a special kind of courage. But Jack Canfield once said “everything you want is on the other side of fear” and boy, was he right. Elation, speechless joy and an involuntary giant smile, are all waiting for you at the end as you’re overcome by a wave of sheer triumph at what you just achieved!
Before you hit the track the Whistler Sliding Centre team will familiarized with how to operate a skeleton bob, what you can expect to feel as you slide and you’ll also be taken through a mock a run.
